In each 11 years in the polar regions, there is a rare optical phenomenon: during the night the sky fills with light-colored particles, offering a unique scenic spectacle. We face the aurora borealis , which in 2012 will shine brightly in the twilight space.

To be able to witness this event in situ, the Spaceport Sweden has created a special flight towards the region of Kiruna in Sweden , one of the world's privileged to observe the mythical northern lights.

This is the first experience of space tourism held by this company, which plans to launch more unique programs.

The inaugural flight was on January 5, but the following will be a 5, 12 and 19 February. This trip begins in the famous Icehotel, where participants staying with a briefing on the northern lights. Then, a transfer will lead the group to the airport of Kiruna, where the shipment will be made for a maximum of nine passengers.

During the trip, lasting one hour, the plane will achieve greater visibility and be able to watch closely the long-awaited visual effect.

All occupants are held by the window, so the cabin to see the resurgence of the polar aurora, which will reach its peak in the next two winters.
