The Interpretation Centre Mapungubwe in Limpopo Province, South Africa, there is a space that is unresponsive. Installed between the Shashe and Limpopo rivers, housed in a single national park, the center has as its objective the presentation of the local flora and fauna along with the implementation of a project to combat poverty coupled with policies of good environmental practices.
The complex is an unusual architectural work and has just been awarded the prestigious prize "Building of the Year." Signed by South African architect Peter Rich, the project is rooted in the landscape that surrounds it and the geometry of its forms by the surprising relationship with the African culture. The links between the various wards, the natural light, the arches and domes are no elements present in a chaotic tangle of points of contact for anyone visiting the area.
The trees of the region, the games of shadows and colored glasses also end up creating a more genuine in full African continent, and it is up to visitors choose the space that suits you inside or outside, taking advantage of the offer information center or being carried away by the stunning scenery of the region of Limpopo.
