In the villages of whitewashed streets clear and everyone knows and welcomes visitors warmly. The hills and farms have gained new life thanks to a new class of people, from the towns of the coast, or even from abroad, surrendered to the beauty and tranquility of the plain.

Major cities in Alentejo are alive and powerful, focused services and cultural offerings and benefiting from the influx of tourists. The fortresses, churches and archaeological sites compete for attention with our natural heritage, from the Serra de São Mamede the valley bounded by shale Guadiana. For these lands the river runs cleaner in Europe , the Mira, which rises in the mountains and flows into the Cauldron in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

Its valley, from the mouth Odemira is housed in the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina, where some of the most beautiful beaches of Portugal .

There is also a rich array of traditions, ranging from the corner to the craft, which has been preserved. The case of food deserves a special mention. The Alentejo cuisine is the most notable of Portugal, making magic from authentic ingredients apparently poor, such as olive oil, bread, herbs and garlic field, enriched, as the Alentejo, with the best meat and the freshest fish and seafood. All together with the exceptional wines of the region

Vast and sparsely populated territory but with lots to see, the Alentejo is, par excellence, the kingdom of the ride. Here you can enjoy all kinds of holidays and weekends, are to walk, bike or horseback, the rest in an inn or house rental accommodation, to surf or just admire the scenery.
