Vesuvio-naples

The promontory of Camaldoli we contemplate the city of Naples , under the supervision of the dark Vesuvius. Perhaps the volcano helps to explain why the city continues to be a borough irreverent.

Founded as the Greek city of Neapolis, was conquered by the Romans in the fourth century BC, but remains a sort of irreducible and stubborn Gallic village, inhabited by men of iron will.

The city center, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, there are the domes of the churches, that surpass those of Rome in number. The city was the birthplace of several Popes, but created a "holy people" very special: Diego Armando Maradona.

Naples located in southern Italy, is a local port. Despite all the chaos of a modern city, Naples retains its original beauty and has good options for those who go to Italy and want to see new places.

It is impossible not to go meet with the fortress Real Palatine Chapel in honor of Santa Barbara and the Arc de Triomphe that arises between two towers set in the castle courtyard.

Around the historical center is Spaccanapoli, one of the oldest neighborhoods of the city and the mirror of life in the city of Naples.

Sad and in Piazza Trento is the church of St. Ferdinand, with numerous frescoes, stuccos and tombs, the gallery Umberto, with a window of 57m height, and the Teatro San Carlo, a majestic building designed to perpetuate the reign of the Bourbons.
