Katavi-park

Katavi National Park is an almost unknown in Tanzania. It is the third largest in the country, after Serengeti and Ruaha, has no pavement or fences and the animals are on the edge of each corner. Every year, only two thousand people visit the Katavi National Park, compared to two hundred thousand going to the Serengeti. To get there you must fly to Arusha and then make a flight of nearly three hours, with a stop in the middle Tabora, for refueling. At the final destination, when the zebras and impalas leave the makeshift runway, the plane lands safely.

There are nearly 4500 square miles of National Park, filled with stunning landscapes, where there are many acacias, elephants and all the realities of the typical African wild. Here, in western Tanzania, in Mpanda district, Rukwa region, which is located Palahala Field and its luxurious lodges. More than a tent, are houses with about sixty square feet, two beds, tables, chairs, cabinets, lamps, rugs and a bathroom with shower facing the jungle.

From the outside, a balcony the entire width of the tent, and front, after fifty meters high grass and bushes, the river. According to Tom the owner, "Katavi is a playground for adventurers who know Africa. Here everything remains wild. This is the real Africa. "
