Probably one of the world's most famous beaches, Waikiki stretches for three kilometers along the coastline of southern Pahu in Hawaii . Its natural location is magnificent, with the Koolau mountains rising on the back, the silhouette of the extinct volcano of Diamond Head southeast and the sun going down at the end of each day to the Pacific Ocean right in front.
The name means in Hawaiian Waikiki water jets. This name comes from the days of colonization there were many rivers, lakes and streams that separated Waikiki from the rest of the island.
Waikiki Beach has crystal clear waters, white sand, palm trees and surfers all year round. This is the favorite beach for surfers because the waves can reach up to 9 meters in height. At the eastern end is Kaplolani the park, the first public park in Hawaii , and zoo and aquarium, as well as an outdoor stage and local sports and where there is always a pleasant environment.
To take full advantage of Waikiki, throw themselves headlong into the bustle, spend the day soaking up the sun or the sea, surfing or canoeing, and then spend the night in borga. Do not forget to explore the rest of Oahu, abundant forests, beaches and cultural sites.
